Headed back to Alliat today as a) it’s shady and b) it’s by far the best limestone crag we’ve found around here, and amongst the best I’ve climbed on anywhere!

The main objective was “Mac in teuch” – a 40m 7a+ which was a step up from anything else I’ve managed this trip so far, but looked my kind of route. Long and sustained with some big holds and holes – found a no hands rest in one of them! See below.

Anyway – chuffed to bits that I managed the on-sight. 🙂

Heading up to Ax les Thermes tomorrow, before dropping over the Pyrenees into Spain as the weather breaks here. Can’t really complain after 2 weeks of unbroken sunshine.
