The Cabezon d’oro makes it into the top 60 crags in Donde Escalar, so we were overdue a visit. This impressive lump of rock dominates the skyline north of Alicante. The main attraction is in multi pitch routes of typically 200m to 300m, but we only had time to sample the first pitch of the excellent Delicatessen.

Sadly the day was interrupted with the sad news from the villa – we’d been burgled 😦 Back at the ranch we took stock, yielding a long list of phones and tablets, together with a load of cash missing. Some very efficient local police turned up to investigate and much form filling was required down at the station.

A bit of a sour note towards the end of a great trip 😦
