Some welcome cloud cover brings the prospect of exploring some of the sunny crags above the village of Toirano in the Valle del Vero.
Paretone is the middle crag in the picture. 60m of orange rock set high up in a remote feeling side valley, it has more of a mountain feel, especially with the clag descending.
Highlight of the day was a 60m 2 pitch route (6a+ into 6c+) done in a single push to avoid an uncomfortable belay for Helen. I’ve rarely been more knackered!
