Brilliant to see so many people at Gogarth last weekend. Around 80 Rucksackers, Pinnies and various friends and family made the journey (pilgrimage?) onto Holy Island, despite the cruddy forecast, and were rewarded with wall-to-wall sunshine.

The highlight as always was the beach BBQ – huge thanks to Andy, John and Bill and all the rest of the helpers for burger flipping duties.

More of the same the following day

Alongside all the fun and games, we were also trying to climb the equivalent height of Everest in a fundraiser for Climbers Against Cancer. https://www.climbersagainstcancer.org/

We smashed the 8,848m target, with Gareth and Ian getting us off to a flying start with the Nantlle Ridge on Friday, and the climbers clocked up thousands of meters of routes on the seacliffs and Holyhead Mountain over the weekend, topped up by plenty of yards from people walking and pedalling. An all round effort!!!
On the fundraising front, we’re well above Base Camp, having raised over 50% of the £884.80 target (10p for every metre of Everest) It would be great if you could chip in for the Summit Push. Every penny goes to fund Cancer Research and support those living with and beyond the disease.
