More Terradets

We had a chilly trip up above Terradets for a visit to Collegats, a line of 30m conglomerate cliffs carved out by the Noguera river many millennia ago. This took us above the cloud inversion besetting Terradets, but into the cool of the mountains. One to head back to on a warmer day.

The following day dawned gloriously clear so we decided on one of the easier multi-pitch routes on the sector Bagasses (main crag picture – left hand side lower band of rock).

The approach is probably more committing than the route – and certainly doesn’t involve walking through that railway tunnel, as that would be dangerous as well as illegal (honest senor guardia civil). Sector “Smoking” can be seen in the background, with climbers just visible on the skyline.
