The forecasters got it wrong – woohoo! Despite an inch of rain and a big lightning storm overnight, Tuesday (our departure date) dawned sunny but cold. Last-day enthusiasm (desperation at the thought of returning to a wet and windy UK) had us out of bed, breakfasted, packed and paid-up by 9:15, and heading for sector Mevlana. The car thermometer read 4C but the 30kph winds were blowing over the top of the crag, leaving a pleasant sun-trap. 3 routes saw us well on the right side of You Either Climbed Today Or You Didn’t and we set off for the airport in fine spirits – a great trip 🙂
