We certainly picked a challenging few days for our visit to Pembroke. The army firing range was in use all week, with high tide at midday and most of the crags bird banned. Throw in some of the biggest seas I’ve ever seen there due to 40mph westerlies, and it took all our local knowledge to get anything done at all!
St Govans East turned out to be a great choice. Sheltered and with enough non tidal routes we sampled a few less starred routes, proving that there’s no such thing as a bad pembroke route.
