A major storm moved through over night leaving threatening black clouds and drizzle, along with the ubiquitous gusty winds. It’s Tuffa Time – an excuse to spend a day in upside down land at the interestingly named Crown of Aragon crag.
Actually, despite the perma-dry nature of some of the routes, there were quite a few good tuffa-tussles to had in the 6a to 6b + range, and all on really big holds.
The other highlight of the day was that we managed to find a bar that was open and big enough to contain the team – Bar San Vito quickly established itself as team HQ for the rest of the trip and Vince, the ex-pat Canadian barman quickly arranged emergency supplies of Birra Moretti!
