This is the dark, gloomy north facing crag that dominates the entrance to the valley – very reminiscent of a shady Malham. We’d avoided it on our previous two visits, but thought the forecast of 20C toastiness made it a good time to try it out.
Whilst the crag is best known for mega hard routes, it turns out that the smattering of lines in the 6a+ to 7a range are generally excellent too. Another busy day brought about by a bank holiday meant we shared the place with a friendly mob of Italians.
The highlight of the day (perhaps the trip – let’s see…) was Helen leading her first ever 6c!!!!
