We visited this great little crag towards the end of our Roca Verde tour in 2016 and enjoyed it then.
It’s the ideal stop off as we head west from Pais Vasco to Galicia, trying to skip through the major weather system coming in from the Atlantic – the TV weather forecast in the bar was full of gloom about snow down to 300m!
It’s covered in the 2nd edition of the Roca Verde guide, but if like us you don’t have that, there’s a complete topo here:
Magnificent backdrop of the Picos de Europa
… and a very sunny crag…
… made for a very pleasant afternoon. Only 11C but so toasty it’s time to go shirtless. Ignorance is Bliss, 6a+
Helen on La Makita Parbulita, V
… and Less is More, 6a (with the Picos in the background).
Also a lesson in not going back on routes as I didn’t manage a repeat of El Gran Pelayo Aleman, which I got last time (another lesson – don’t try 7a+ with a knackered shoulder!)
Very handy and friendly Camping Picos de Europa just 15mins down the road with a roaring fire in the bar.
