Dominating the village of Osp, and the “little” crags of Banje and Babna where we climbed earlier in the week, is Velika Stena – the Big Wall. Towering on the right of the main crags it reaches about 150m and is home to a dozen or so major undertakings and an relatively amenable offering of Medo which takes a rightwards ramp line and cracks at the end of the wall.
Whilst not technically desperate, there’s plenty of adventure with sparse bolts, route finding and a lot of traversing to contend with, as well as a bit of loose rock. Tashy took all this in her stride and we had a grand day out!
