Despite a dodgy forecast we headed to La Palud, the heart of Verdon climbing. The deciding factor was the opportunity of some good company with Jim and Jane Burton, not to mention Jim’s local knowledge from over 30 years of adventures in the Gorge.

The view from Point Sublime looked anything but….

Happily an amelioration in the weather and Jim’s local knowledge secured a fine afternoon of climbing at a very friendly sector – just 15 mins walk for single pitch climbing without any gripping abseiling. Just the job with showers threatening.
