A couple of days in the Dales and two new (to us) crags. Our first day was at sector Stone Cold at the far left end of Giggleswick South. Not huge, we did almost all the routes, but a nice change from the more frequented end and reasonable if not spectacular routes.
A few miles up the road we spent the night at The Station Inn at Ribblesdale, offering free campervan parking provided you have a beer – sounds like a reasonable deal! Worth it for the 5* view of the viaduct from the window in the Gents!
Then on to Lower Stoney Bank, just above Gordale. A much more impressive crag…
Stand out route of the day was Paranoid Eyes, a 3* 7a with a fun knee bar move through a roof and a tricky finale.
There are worse places to spend your Saturday.
