With blue skies and Baltic conditions it was too nice to join the Tuesday lunchtime team at Stockport Wall but a bit chilly for much else. Time for a first trip to Horseshoe in a couple of years (and certainly the first since the rebolting).
Frozen puddles told half the story
… but it’s amazing what a bit of sunshine can do. The “Excavator” slab was warm to the touch and we’d soon done a couple of 100ft pitches.
Deciding to up our game a little, and check out the shiny new BMC crowd funded bolts, we finished off on Rotund Rooley – they might have added an extra bolt lower down but the top still feels a bit spicy. By now the sun had disappeared into a bank of clouds and the temperature was feeling every bit like the 3C on the car thermometer. Time to head for a cheeky half in front of a fire at The Red Lion.
