A fabulous afternoon and evening at the Roaches for the Rucksack Club Wednesday evening meet.
Perfect blue skies and blazing sunshine were somewhat offset by a chilly easterly blowing over the top of the crag – it was toasty on the rock but a tad breezy belaying on top.
We completed a round of the Upper Tier classics, starting with Maud’s Garden and working from left to right.
Damascus Crack was next on the list, followed by Central Climb, where we bumped into our Leonidio friends: Spencer and Olga – small world!
Next was an annual pilgrimage up The Sloth (candidate for the best HVS in The Peak?)
… Saul’s Crack, Humdinger and Black & Tans.
Meanwhile, Helen made her own yearly trip up Right Route (or A-Route)
… Before a swift half at The Rock. Grand day!
