After celebrations to mark Pete’s 80th a sunny morning was too good an opportunity to miss to blow away the cobwebs. Dave signed up for a jog over Caw Fell, and threw in the suggestion of a bit of bouldering on route… There’s plenty of interesting rock to play on, with a fine, flakey texture and some reasonable landings, though I’m not sure that fell running shoes are the ideal footwear!
Certainly well worth it for the views down to the estuary and out towards the Irish Sea and north to Scafell.
